King For The Day

Well everyone is going Britain Mad this year what with the Jubilee and the Olympics so I have used that as inspiration for this little card.

This card was a nightmare. The flag paper is from Craft Artist's Best Of British kit but when I printed it it had pink lines all over it so I had to rethink my design. I raided my stash and found the invoice type paper from 7 gypsies Conservatory paper pack. I won this a few weeks ago in a Joanna Sheen blog candy. I ripped the edge to give it a more vintage feel, plus it did'nt look right straight and it worked yay no more pink lines. The little King image is from Sliekje and has been coloured with my Promarkers. The bunting and sentiment are also from Craft Artist and the buttons and pearls are from my stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

LEJ Designs - Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft - Best of British
Craft Us Crazy - Inspire Us - Mad about Britain
Paper Crafting Journey - Vintage
