Happy Fathers Day Grandad

Well Fathers Day is just around the corner now and this year I have so many cards to make as I have cards from Charlie to do. So here is Charlie's card to my Dad:

I have used one of my old favourite Precious Moments images and coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are from a Dovecraft paper pad and the brown card is from my stash. I have used a cream chalk eye ink pad to distress the brown card. It is quite hard to see on the picture but it makes the card look like it has been sanded. I have hand typed both sentiments and gone over the writing to make it stand out a bit. I have added some buttons, String and a little metal star charm from my stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Joanna Sheen - Remember When
Crafty Catz - Card For A Man
Crafty Cardmakers - Distress it
The Paper Shelter - Vintage
One Stop Craft Challenge - For The Boys
Love to Create - Sentiment
Sweet Stampin - Stars
Quick Cards - Fathers Day

A Right Royal Birthday

Good Evening all,

What a day I have been feeling so rough today as I seem to have caught the cold that everyone else has had. No chance to rest though as I have my little monster to run around after plus I had my friends little monster this morning while she went to the dentist. He is still at the easy can't move yet stage though so it was ok. I do have two cards to share with you today so I will get on with it.

Here is the first:

The image is a freebie from Pixie Dust Studio and it is coloured with Promarkers. All the papers are from my stash and I have used various spellbinders to cut the ovals, circles and borders. I have added some buttons, Gems, Roses and a Bow from my stash. The sentiment is hand typed. Sorry it's not much detail today but I feel rubbish.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft - Royalty
Craft Your Days Away - Red, White and Blue
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Cutie Pie - Die Cuts

2 Cute Ink is back Yay

Well after a little break Heidi is back making Digital stamps so I am back to my DT duties yay.

There are two lovely new releases over at the 2 Cute Ink Shop this week. This cute little Raccoon was released yesterday and another just as cute release is set for Friday. Keep your eyes peeled for that one.

Here is my card for the Little Raccoon image:

I have coloured the cute little guy with my Promarkers. All the papers are from my stash and the sentiment is hand typed. I have added peeloffs to the log on the image to write Dad and then added some buttons and gems to finish off.

If you need some more inspiration why not visit the 2 Cute Ink Blog where you can see the creations my fellow DT members have made.

Happy Birthday Lily Boo

Evening all,

I hope you are all well and have enjoyed the lovely weather. I have had a very busy few day and am just getting back into the swing of things now. I have however had a very productive day today and managed to get three and a half cards made. I have one of them to share with you today the others will be here tomorrow as they are DT cards for 2 Cute Ink.

So here is todays creation:

I have used a fab image from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured it with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The papers are all from my stash and the sentiment is hand typed. I have used some more of my lovely new flowers and some Candi all in co ordinating colours. I think I have to much Candi as I have a colour to match nearly every card I make. Whoops never mind they are so handy and much easier than brads.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Sketch
Catch the Bug - Colour Challenge Pink, Blue and Brown

Friday 25 May 2012

Butterfly Bear

And here is the second card of the evening:

This cute little guy is from Bugaboo Stamps, it was a freebie as they have a new one every week so head over there to find out what this week has to offer. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and added some glitter to the wings to give a little sparkle. I have gone for a Pink and Green colour scheme for this one. I have been using these colours loads lately and think they work so well together.  Not sure if it's just that the papers I have used are all from one pad (another bargain from the craft warehouse) that I don't have to work out paper choices as they are right in front of my eyes. I have also used my natural ribbon again. I did have a play with a little bit and Promarkers and it does work so watch this space for coloured natural ribbon, I have hand typed a sentiment and cut it into little tags and added a bow. I have then embellished with some buttons and pearls from my stash and some little punched butterflies with added glitter.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Pink and Green
C.R.A.F.T. - Recipe - 2+ DP, Tag, Glitter
Paperplay - Summer Lovin
Sassy Cheryl's - What's your Colour
Catch The Bug - Sketch
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything For Kids Goes

Birthday Wishes Book Worm

Evening all,

I really hope you have had a better day than me. Charlie has not slept all day and has been very whingy, his teeth are driving him mad. It really does not help when it is so hot as you just want to relax. But that is never going to happen with a crying baby. Anyway I am off to my Mums tomorrow for the night so I thought I would share two cards with you before I go. Here is the first:

I have used the great freebie image from DigiStamp Boutique and she is coloured with my Promarkers. The red and Blue papers are from my Papermania pads and the paper with text on is newspaper. The sentiment is hand typed and the Candi, Gems, Ribbon, Lace and Bow are all from my stash. I have followed the Papertake Weekly True colours theme hence the Red, White and Blue and the Recycle theme from Paper Makeup. I did not realise at the time that the newspaper article I have used is all about Britain so it was perfect. I only chose it as it had lots of text. The great sketch is from Sunday Sketch and Stamp and worked so well for this card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft - Book Lover
Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Sketch
Papertake Weekly - True Colours
Paper Makeup Stamps - Recycle 2nd Entry

A lovely day for a Wedding

Well I think I spoke too soon as Little man is awake and crying his head off. His Daddy is with him so I will quickly share this card with you and then I will have to go do Mummy duties. So here is my creation:

I have used a little image from Sliekje and coloured it with my Promarkers. The grey paper was from an old scrapbook kit and the lilac one is from a Dovecraft Back to Basics pad. I have layered everything on to mirror board. The lace, ribbon and beads were all from my stash. I have used some more of my new flowers and finished with some little pearls. The sentiment was hand typed.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

One Stop Craft Challenge - Spring Wedding
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Sassy Studio - Hats

A bit Crabby

Evening all,

Little man is now in bed so I can share the rest of my creations with you. I have three for you this evening so this may take a while but OH is picking my Mum up from down South so I am all alone so no distractions. Here is the first:

How cute is the image, he was a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps. They have a new freebie every Friday so head over tomorrow to see what it is. I have coloured him with Promarkers. I kept the colouring simple this time as I felt it better suited the image. Shading is fab but sometimes it's just not needed. I have used papers from two Papermania pads and the mirror board is from my stash. I said in an earlier post that I would show you the other Natural ribbon I got last weekend so here it is. I love the stuff, I may have to go back to see if they have any others. ohh I just had a thought I wonder how well it colours with Promarkers. I know what I will be doing after I have shared all my cards. Anyway I have also added a little bit of string and onto that I have threaded a little metal fish charm. I thought I would make it more fun by not sticking him down so he moves along the string if you tip the card. The sentiment is hand typed. To finish the card I have added a string bow and some little pearls that have been coloured with Promarkers to match the image.

I am entering this card into the following challenges -

Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Passion For Promarkers - Birthdays
Catch the Bug - Sketch
Quirky Crafts - Dots, Spots, Stripes and Ribbon
Charisma Cardz - No Flowers Allowed
Totally Gorjuss - Charms

Pretty as a Princess

Charlie is munching his was through some raisins so I thought I would quickly share this little cutie with you:

I have used a lovely image from Tiddly Inks. She is sooooo cute, I have coloured her with my Promarkers. I have used my spellbinders to cut her out and then used my other circle dies to cut layers for her to sit on. The paper is all from my stash as is the little metal sentiment. The Natural ribbon is one of my newest finds on my trip to the craft warehouse at the weekend. It is lovely and was a bargain. I do have another design which will be appearing on a card later. I have also added some bling and pearls, also from the craft warehouse. And then I come to the flowers, these too are from the craft warehouse. They were so cheap I went a bit over the top and could probably open a florist with the amount of flowers I now own. But they will be used so it's ok.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

The Paper Shelter - Bling
Tiddly Inks - Flowers
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
I Love Promarkers - Use Die Cuts
Sweet Stampin - Fairies/Angels

Hello Baby

Hi everyone

I hope you are all well and have had some lovely weather this week as I have. Mind you hot weather and teething baby equals lots of tears.

Never mind I have a cute little baby card to share with you today so here it is:

I have used Nitwits Waddles and Whimsy collection from my new free CD from Complete Cardmaking Magazine. There are so many cute bits on this one so lots to play with but I thought this collection was perfect for a new baby card. I have printed the duck and tag out a few times so that I could decoupage them. I have added some text to the ribbon and tag in craft artist before printing them out. The blue card is from my stash and the spotty paper is from the CD. I have added some buttons and Candi from my stash to finish the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Fab n Funky - New Beginning - New CD and New Baby card
Cards for Men - Congratulations

I will be back this evening with some more cards. Enjoy the sunshine.

It's not a card

I have something a bit different to share with you today. Let me introduce you to Tyler:

Tyler started out as a pair of tiny baby socks. They belonged to my good friend Edina's little boy Tyler hence the name. I found a pattern on the internet and raided an old cross stitch kit for the left over thread and needle. I used the stuffing from a cushion that has been sat in the cupboard for ages but shhh don't tell OH. A few hours later and Tyler was born. Now he is meant to be a monkey but I don't really think he looks like one. I think he is cute all the same. I have also created a little tag in craft artist. The little monkey is a Pollycraft digi that I have coloured with pencils and I added a little bit of the left over sock to make the little knot.

I really enjoyed making Tyler so I may be raiding Charlie's old socks to create some little friends for him.

I am entering Tyler into the following challenges:

Love to Create - Song Inspired - Hey Hey were the Monkeys

Take it easel

Evening all,

The sun has been shining today so I have been out doing a little bit of gardening. When I say little I really do mean little as I just planted a plant we bought yesterday and pulled a few weeds out of the path. But it was nice to be in the sun.

I have a little easel card to share with you today so here it is:

The cute little image is from Tiddly Inks and she is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I still need to work on the Flexmarkers as they are a bit different from Promarkers but the colours are lush. I have gone for bright with this one, not sure where the colour choice came from but it popped into my head so I gave it a go. The teal paper is from a papermania collection and the green paper is from my stash. I have then added some bright green and pink ribbon, both were freebies from magazines. The little flowers are punched using my petal punch out of glitter paper and I have added a candi to each centre. I have used my spellbinders die to cut a space for writing on the base and used a metal Happy Birthday sentiment on the top. I have added some more Candi, some buttons and a bow to finish off.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Passion For Promarkers - Photo Inspiration - Bright colours and ribbon
C.R.A.F.T. - Easel Card
Fab n Funky - Use Fabric - Ribbon and Bow
Cutie Pie - Sketch and Easel
Allsorts - Buttons and Bows

In the garden

Here is the second card I have to share with you:

The lovely little kitty is from Sliekje and I have coloured her in with my Promarkers. I have added a little bit of glitter to the little butterflies in the image which makes them stand out a little although thats hard to see in the picture. All the papers are from my big paper stash that came from my local craft warehouse. The little bit with the bow is a tag that pulls out with Happy Birthday stamped on it. I used my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch to punch the two big butterflies from the same paper as the backing paper. I used my quickie glue pen to add glitter to the butterflies to make them all pretty. I have had the flowers for years and as the colours worked I added them to a bit of ribbon and put some tiny buttons in the centres. The left side of the card looked a bit bare so I added some more ribbon it started off pink but I coloured it with a green promarker and added a big pearl. I then added some little pearls and gems for the finishing touches.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Love to Create - Bingo Card I could'nt decide so I used Buttons, Glitter, Ribbon and Ribbon, Punches, Flowers.
Sassy Studio - Use 3 or something

Beep Beep Birthday

Evening All,

Hope you are all well, I have two cards to share with you today. The first is for my OH's little Brother. He is 17 next week and will be getting a car from his Dad, lucky hey. Well here is a card that will be on it's way to him:

I have used a colouring page that I found on the internet and coloured it in with my Promarkers. All the papers are from a Dovecraft paper pack and the brown card is from my stash. The challenge over at Paperplay is destruction so I have ripped the edges of the papers. I have used the layout of the case it challenge over at Creative inspirations. I have then added a metal charm to some string and a Happy Birthday peel off. The charm and peel off were coloured with Promarkers to make them match the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Creative Inspirations - Case It
Charisma Cardz - Metal Charm
Paperplay - Destruction

Quilt a Cutie

Well here is the second card of the evening:

Wow what a headache this one gave me. I printed out my cute little freebie image from Tiddly Inks and chosen Promarker colours in hand set to colour him in. Thats where it went wrong, the colours did'nt blend properly so I thought I would go over the colouring again only to use the wrong colour and ruin it. So I decided to use the papers I had already chosen as backing papers to cover my mess and fill in the image. I have also decoupaged the elephant and the balloons but it is hard to see that in the pic. All the papers are from a big pack I got from my local craft warehouse. It is huge and has so much cool stuff. Although I try to stay away as I want everything, I am going there this weekend as my Mum is visiting yay. I also got the silver card from there it is very unusual as it has a sort of fabric type embossing on it. I hand typed the sentiment and used a promarker to go over the writing to lift it a little. I added some tiny buttons and little gems to finish the card.

My lovely OH bought me 4 sets of flexmarkers as they were on offer on create and craft. They arrived today so I am off to have a play with them now. Have a great evening all and I will have another card to share with you tomorrow.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Cardmakers - Birthday and Balloons
Paper Makeup Stamps - Photo Inspiration I have used the quilt idea.

Busy Buzzy Bee

Evening all,

Hope you have all had a good day. I went to a friends house today which kept Charlie busy and he has now gone to sleep lets hope he stays that way. Well I have two cards to share with you today and here is the first:

The cute little bee is from Meljens Designs, he is so adorable and was a real pleasure to colour with my Promarkers. I have used my spellbinders to cut out circles from my Dovecraft Back to Basics paper pad and black card. The Lemon background card is a linen effect card from my stash. I have then used my Marianne Creatables flower die to cut the flowers and leaves. I added a little button to each flower to give them a centre. I used peeloffs coloured with Promarkers to write Mum and stuck these onto little flags that I cut myself. I got a bit scissor happy while cutting the flags and snipped a little to far so I covered it with a pearl on each flag. I then added some more pearls, Candi and a hand typed sentiment to finish the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

From your Little Monster

Good Morning All,

First off I would like to say a big HELLO to my new followers and of course those that have been with me for a while, Thank you all for the lovely comments I really enjoy reading them and it is lovely to know that my cards are liked.

Ok so here is a little card for you:

I was lucky enough to win a challenge over at Paper Makeup Stamps the other week and I got to choose 3 lovely images from them. I just could not resist this image Me and Pops as it is perfect for my Little Man to give his Daddy for his first fathers day. We call Charlie little monster so what could be more perfect. I have coloured the image with my Promarkers and am so pleased with how it turned out. I think it may be my best colouring so far. I have used papers and card from my stash and used a glitter pen to add faux stitching to each piece. I have embellished with some little buttons and candi and to finish it off I added a little metal star that I also coloured with Promarkers.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A bit of Pink and Green

Well here is my last card for the day, I do have another to share but it is still a bit wet so I will save that one until tomorrow.

I bought this image ages ago but had not used it so when the pink and green challenge came up at Totally Gorjuss I thought it was perfect. I have used bits of papers from my stash and played around with them until I found a layout that worked. I have punched out the little flowers using my petal punches and inked the edges. I have then added a Martha Stewart punched butterfly and some Candi.

I am entering this card into the following challenge:

Totally Gorjuss - Pink and Green

Birthday Wishes and Fairy Kisses

I finally gave in and got myself a little image from Tiddly Inks today. I have been looking at them for ages and today I caved in. So here is my first attempt with my new cutie:

I have coloured her in with my Promarkers and added a little bit of glitter to her wand whisps.
I have kept the card simple as the challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenges this week is no design paper and Happy Birthday. Plus that way I could make the image bigger to colour in. I have used a bit of yellow glitter paper to mat the image and some little pearls. I think I may have to invest in some more of these images it was such a treat to colour.

I am entering this card into the following challenge:

Cupcake Craft - No Design Paper and Happy Birthday

So So Sassy

Good Evening all,

Hope you have all had a good day. Charlie has been keeping me very busy over the weekend and today he has been a real grump. But he is in bed now although he is singing to himself at the moment so no signs of sleep yet. I have a few cards to share with you today so here is number one:

I was lucky enough to be picked as a winner at Sassy Studio so I chose this little lady as my prize.
I have coloured her using my promarkers. I have used a paper and a bit of pink vellum from my stash for my backing and a little bit of silver mirror card to lift the image and a hand typed sentiment. The theme over at I Love Promarkers this week is Hat Pins or Charms, well I don't have any hat pins or charms so I made one myself with some ribbon and beads. I hope this counts as an entry but if not then I understand. I hava also used a paper doilie that I got from Ebay, some Candi, Pearls and a little paper flower that I cut out from backing paper.

Summer Fun

Here is my second card of the day:

The little bear image is from a free CD I got with a magazine, I coloured her with my Promarkers trying to make her as bright and summery as I could. I have used some more of the glitter card for the backing. I go through phases as you may have noticed and it seems to be glitter card today. I then found the yellow and blue paper in my stash and decided to try something different so I chopped it up into little bits and just played around fitting them on the card. I think it works quite well. I have matted the image and sentiment (hand typed) onto some mirror board and stuck them on with Pinflair to give them some lift. I have then cut the back off of some flower brads and stuck them on and finished with some Candi, Pearls and Gems.

Special little Lady

Good Morning all

I hope your weekends were good. I have had a friend up to stay so I did'nt get anytime to craft. I have been busy last night and this morning to get a couple of cards finished. I thought it would have been nice to have a break from making cards for a few days but I really missed it. So I am glad to be back to my crafty self now.
So here is my first card, It's made a little in advance as Mia's Birthday is at the beginning of July but at least it's one less to worry about.

I have used a cute little fairy image from Sliekje and coloured her with my Promarkers. I found some glitter card while I was raiding my stash and thought the colour worked perfectly with the image so on the card it went as well as two other papers. The heart one is from Dovecrafts Back to Basics and the flower one is from my stash. I have used my Sizzix alphabet to cut out the letters to write Mia's name and typed a sentiment myself. I have then embellished with flowers, Buttons and Candi's.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Friends Forever

Good Evening all

I have been very lazy today and although I have done a bit of colouring none of the images have made it onto a card as yet. I do however have this little one that I started yesterday and managed to finish today.

I have used another cute image from Sliekje. There really is an image to suit all occassions over there so if you haven't already go check out the site. I coloured the little duo with my Promarkers. I chose the brightest colours I had. The paper, sentiment and flowers are from Craft Artists Vintage Candy pack. I have added some pearls, gems, buttons and lace from my stash.

Ahhhh Christmas

Well it's the first of many yep a Christmas card

I have used a cute little Me to You bear from my Docrafts CD. The papers are all from Dovecrafts and the little Embellies are all from my stash. The sentiment was also from the Docrafts CD.

King For The Day

Well everyone is going Britain Mad this year what with the Jubilee and the Olympics so I have used that as inspiration for this little card.

This card was a nightmare. The flag paper is from Craft Artist's Best Of British kit but when I printed it it had pink lines all over it so I had to rethink my design. I raided my stash and found the invoice type paper from 7 gypsies Conservatory paper pack. I won this a few weeks ago in a Joanna Sheen blog candy. I ripped the edge to give it a more vintage feel, plus it did'nt look right straight and it worked yay no more pink lines. The little King image is from Sliekje and has been coloured with my Promarkers. The bunting and sentiment are also from Craft Artist and the buttons and pearls are from my stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

LEJ Designs - Anything Goes

Monochrome Matey

Morning all,

The Sun has gone back to where it had been hiding and it's another grey and rainy day here so my first card is very fitting. Here it is:

This was a bit of a tough one as the challenge at Allsorts this week was a shaker card. I don't do shaker cards as each time I have tried they have looked rubbish but I thought I would give it one more go. The boy is from a free CD from a magazine, I coloured him with Promarkers and cut around him leaving just a little white edge. The papers are from Dovecraft and the backing card is from my stash. Then for the shaker I have used my spellbinders dies to cut out all the parts, then filled it with little stars and a sentiment and stuck it together. I finished the card with a some ribbon and little buttons. I am really pleased with this one and may even try another shaker card in the future.
